Webinar: Disability Tax Credit

Ostomy Canada Society will host a national webinar, Disability Tax Credit, on January 22 at 6 PM MT. The DTC is a non-refundable tax credit that helps individuals with disabilities and their families reduce their income tax burden. Eligibility is based on how an impairment affects daily living activities, rather than a specific diagnosis.
If you have an ostomy, Crohn’s disease, or ulcerative colitis, you can apply for the DTC through the CRA. This webinar will cover the application process, what to expect from your medical practitioner, and possible CRA decisions. Approved applicants may also access additional services from the CRA.
Ostomy Canada and NSWOC nurses will assist throughout the process, and we encourage medical practitioners to attend as well. Please remember that this webinar is designed to guide you in applying for the credit and should not be used verbatim. Our main goal is to help you achieve success in your application.
