Why Become A Member?
The Calgary Ostomy Society is a member-driven, non-profit organization that relies on income from annual membership dues and donations to operate. For only $30 a year, you will not only become a member of both Calgary Ostomy and Ostomy Canada, but help us reach our goals.
Here are a few ways that becoming a member of the Calgary Ostomy Society will benefit you:
STAY INFORMED
Receive the bi-annual Ostomy Canada Magazine, as well as regular email updates. Read inspirational stories, find helpful advice and more.
SOCIAL CONNECTIONS
You will meet many Calgarians with a Colostomy, Urostomy, Ileostomy and even other bowel and bladder diversionary surgeries like a J-Pouch; all of whom have an ostomy due to Cancer, Crohn’s & Colitis, and many other diseases.
MEMBER-ONLY PERKS
Calgary Ostomy Society offers special perks to members, such as fee assistance for Ostomy Canada Conferences. You will also have access to Member-only web content.
GET INVOLVED
Members can volunteer for positions on the Calgary Ostomy Society executive committee, and can also vote on agenda items at our Annual General Meeting.

Become A Member
For only $30 per year, you can become a member of Calgary Ostomy Society. Persons who wish to join online will renew their membership one year from the day they sign up. By joining via mail, members will be sent a reminder every December to renew.

Renew Your Membership
Traditionally, members renew by December 1st every year, however, our online membership is valid for one year from your signup date. We notify Ostomy Canada every quarter of new members and renewals. You are entitled to receive two copies of the Ostomy Canada magazine per subscription year, which is issued every summer and winter. Please contact us if you didn’t receive them.
Renew Online
Payment can be made directly through our website. We accept PayPal, Credit and Visa Debit cards. (We are unable to accept e-transfers.) For existing online members, you can renew at the Member Login page, accessible in the Member-Only Area below. You will need to renew before the expiry date or your login credentials will not work. In that case, see the above area Become A Member, and use the same email address that you used previously to reactivate your account. Please contact us if further assistance is needed.
1. Please enter your login credentials, click Login. (If you forget password, click Forgot Password).
2. On the Members Area webpage on the Member Links menu, click Account.
3. On the top menu, click Subscriptions.
4. On the Annual Membership line, click the Renew link.
5. On the Registration Form, update your information if needed, then click Signup to connect with PayPal.
(PayPal is used to process all payment methods.)
Join or Renew Via Mail
Payment can be made via cheque or money order. If you are a new member or have a change of address, please print and include this form with your cheque. Please make your cheque or money order for $30 payable to Calgary Ostomy Society, and remit to:

Renew In-Person
Members can renew in-person by cash, cheque or money order at our in-person events. Traditionally, members pay their dues at our annual Christmas Potluck.
Member-Only Area
Members who join online have instant access to our Members Only area. If you joined the Calgary Ostomy Society by paying cash or cheque, please contact us to receive login credentials to access this feature.
Member-Only Content
Our Members-Only area includes access to your member account, where you can renew, update your information. You will also have access to our newsletter archive. You will also find our AGM meeting minutes, financial statements, as well as guest speaker presentations.
