Calgary Ostomy January News and Events

Calgary Ostomy Society’s executive committee would like to wish you a happy new year!
Happy New Year! We thank you for taking the time to read the Calgary Ostomy Society’s January Newsletter. Persons living with an Ostomy or J-Pouch in Alberta are welcome to subscribe to our various avenues of communication, easily found in the footer of our website (scroll to the bottom).
Calgary Ostomy’s Upcoming Events In January
Kicking off 2023, we have a couple of virtual events in January, including the Ostomy & J-Pouch Support Group and a national Disability Tax credit webinar. Please RSVP if you are interested in joining us. We look forward to seeing everyone through Zoom, hybrid, or in-person events this year.
Your Support During 2022 Is Much Appreciated!
We can’t thank you enough for your participation and support during 2022, including fundraisers like Step Up For Ostomy and the Christmas Auction and Double December Campaign.
Check out our recap if you missed the Christmas Party. It was the first time we could hold this annual event since 2019. It was indeed a fabulous time had by all!

Craig Bean, the owner of CB Medical, has traditionally supported our chapter over the years by matching the cash donations we receive at the Christmas event. Thanks to Craig and his team for supporting the Calgary Ostomy Society again and allowing us to extend the online Double December campaign until the end of the year. As of then, we have raised $1630, not including the match, but the totals will be finalized in the coming weeks. We will be mailing tax receipts in February.
Membership Renewals Due for 2023… For Some
Did you receive a membership renewal notice in the mail? That means it’s time to renew. Otherwise, you will receive a notification in the spring, summer, or fall of 2023, depending on which quarter you joined. For more information about renewing, please visit our Membership Page.
Once again, we are grateful for your support, which enables us to provide help, resources, and information to persons living with ostomy or j-pouch in Southern Alberta.
